All European Careers has provided experienced cybersecurity consultants to companies across Europe since 2012. We place SOC analysts, SIEM and detection engineers, penetration testers, identity and access management (IAM) specialists and ISO 27001 consultants, on assignment, as a team extension or as a permanent hire.
Security is now a board-level obligation
For years, security was something the IT team handled when it had time. European regulation has changed that. NIS2 brings many more sectors under EU cybersecurity rules and makes management accountable. In financial services, DORA adds strict requirements for ICT risk, testing and incident reporting.
The rules are clear. The people to carry them out are hard to find. Experienced SOC analysts, detection engineers and IAM specialists are in demand everywhere, and a security team that is one person short notices it at three in the morning.
We find consultants who have worked in live environments: people who have handled real incidents, tuned noisy alerts until they meant something, and written the policies an auditor will read.
Which cybersecurity roles can you provide?
| Role | Typical work | Technologies |
|---|---|---|
| SOC analyst (L1–L3) | Monitoring, triage, incident response | Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, CrowdStrike |
| SIEM / detection engineer | Building and tuning detection rules, log onboarding | Sentinel (KQL), Splunk (SPL), Elastic |
| Penetration tester | Testing applications, networks and cloud set-ups | Burp Suite, Kali Linux, OSCP-level skills |
| IAM specialist | Identity, access and privileged accounts | Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, SailPoint, CyberArk |
| GRC / ISO 27001 consultant | Policies, risk assessments, audits, NIS2 and DORA readiness | ISO 27001, NIS2, DORA |
| Security architect | Zero Trust design and cloud security | Azure, AWS, network security |
Most of our security placements are SOC and IAM roles for financial services and international organisations.

Common questions
Can your consultants help us prepare for NIS2 or DORA?
Yes. GRC consultants can assess where you stand, write the policies and processes, and prepare for audits. Security engineers handle the technical side, such as logging, access control and incident response. Legal interpretation stays with your compliance team.
Do you provide penetration testers for a single test?
Yes. A tester can join for a defined test period. Scope and rules of engagement are agreed in writing with you before any testing starts.
Do your consultants hold security clearances?
Some do, including for international organisations and defence projects. Tell us the clearance level you need and we only propose eligible candidates.
How quickly can a security consultant start?
We send shortlisted, technically pre-screened profiles of consultants who are available now, usually within days.
How do you charge?
No cure, no pay. There is no retainer, no upfront cost and no exclusivity. For a permanent hire you pay a one-time fee only when the consultant starts. Contractors are invoiced at an agreed daily or monthly rate.
