Overview

Our customer in Vilvoorde is urgently looking for a Team Lead – Java Support Engineers to support their customers.  We are looking for an hands-on Teamlead who can coach and manage our Java Support Engineer team.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Motivate the team, providing direction to ensure the team achieves their objectives and deliver impeccable service;
  • Coaching and mentoring team;
  • Providing a focal point for issue escalation to ensure healthy customer relationships;
  • Resolving support tickets within the limits of contractual service level agreements (SLA);
  • Replicating bugs;
  • Coordinating and tracking the escalation of tickets;
  • Managing all communication with customers and partners required to resolve support tickets;
  • Maintaining a record of all communication and actions in ZenDesk;
  • Contributing frequently answered questions to the knowledge base;
  • Participating in responding to community questions and discussions;

Profile:

  • Bachelor or Master degree;
  • 2-3 years managing personnel and processes in a Customer Success role;
  • 5-8 years’ experience as a Support Engineer or in a related role;
  • Extensive knowledge of Java/REST API methods and previous experience with an enterprise solution;
  • Experience with client-facing situations (phone calls, e-mail, webex) and you’re comfortable in dialogue;
  • Experience in a Support/Help Desk environment (ticket tracking, documentation);
  • Technical expertise with relational databases, Java based web applications, workflows and/or enterprise service buses (ESB);
  • Experienced in working closely with software developers;
  • Experience in IT Infrastructure components is an advantage;
