Overview

We are urgently looking for a REMOTE Java Solution Architect with experience on AWS Cloud and Security to improve the digital landscape with a dedicated portfolio of projects.

During the corona crisis, interviews will be done through WEBEX, and travel is not required for the interviews. This position is long-term.

This is an 100% remote position. EU candidates need to be fluent in English. This position is also open for freelancers, who would like to commit long-term.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and define architecture elements including technical roadmaps for solutions to the above business requirements, and expansions to similar use cases in the future;
  • Maintain core architecture artefacts across domains with other architects (e.g. capability maps, application map, integrations);
  • Define, update and document standards, user interface guidelines and technology used in solutions;
  • Relations with vendors;
  • Be the technical focal point for identified applications in their business area;
  • Be part of project teams with business interactions regarding the overall short to long-term IT solution architecture;
  • Be responsible for the testing methodology (UAT, SIT, performances, regressions, etc.) and test results in collaboration with business analysts;

Profile:

  • Bachelor or Master degree;
  • +5 years of recent professional experience in programming, Software Design, Software Architecture, with exposure to a complex Enterprise IT context;
  • Relevant Architecture experience is required, TOGAF certification is an advantage;
  • Experienced successful delivery of complex cross-functional or interdependent projects, some of which should be at the global or international level;
  • Experience in recent .NET, Java, Javascript (Nodejs) development projects;
  • Experience with Angular, AppoloJS, GraphQL and other front-end technologies;
  • Experience with Microservices architectures;
  • Experience in complex applications integration patterns and technologies (ESB or API gateway);
  • Experience contributing to Open Source projects and related governance;
  • Experience with custom SDLC processes such as code versioning, packaging, test driven development (TDD), continuous integration, test automation, code analysis and code quality metrics;
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Git, GitLab or comparable;
  • Experience / exposure to Containers (Docker), OS (Windows, Linux) and Network level design;
  • Experience with Azure or AWS based projects; Cloud certification is an advantage;
  • Experience with SCRUM based projects;
  • Fluent in English;
